The Lips Have It...

Hey Beauties,

Lipsticks are now things of the past with new innovative brands and lip products on the market everyday it makes you wonder what else can the beauty industry achieve?

As with all lipsticks you can get many shades that add to your makeup, a bright lip colour to a nude if you’re not feeling colour that day. But Alifeinbeautyam can now confirm that there’s a new lip product on the block and that is…Lip Balm...but not in the way you think....

We beauties have been inundated with BB Creams and all things natural for the past six months now but have you tried a lip balm that actually enhances your natural lip colour???

Dior Addict Colour Awaking Lip Balm SPF 10 £22.00

The Dior Addict Lip Balm is a new concept of beauty it provides and enhances the natural colour of your lips.

"A customised colour that results as the intuitive colour reacts directly with unique chemistry of the lips, it looks different on every skin tone while leaving lips naturally fresh and radiant".

I was so excited to test this out as I had been lusting over it for months and finally purchased it at Selfridges in London. Not only that I was getting tired of wearing a bright lipstick but the time scale of re-applying throughout the day with mess and effort. So I was so surprised to find that this lip balm provided a perfect colour (as nature intended) and it’s so easy to apply.

The Product

The product texture itself is of a light pink shade and is extremely soft. When I first tested it at the counter I was a little dubious whether it would just make my lips look light pink as the balm was a pink? But how wrong was I? It turned my lips into a dark pink to red… a perfect match. The lip balm works with the heat of your lips to provide your natural lip colour. The lip balm last up to four hours on the lips for which even stays on when you have food and drink while still remaining glossy on the lips.

The Packaging

The packaging is exciting and unique; it has a very girly feel to it while still remaining with the classic CD on the lid. On the one side it has Dior in a bold and white writing and one the other it has Lip Glow Colour Reviver Balm in silver lettering.

Overall this lip balm is a welcome change it enhances and provides your actual lip colour, the packaging is beautiful and it makes me feel excited as Dior has stepped up to the challenge yet again to be the first with new makeup technology. The price can be justified due the actual product being fantastic and the packaging detail it’s well worth the investment.

Beauties have you tried the Dior Addict Lip Glow? If so what are your thoughts? Or do you want to try it? Let me know beauties…

I've tried the lip glosses that work in the same manner but not this lip balm. I love lip balms and this one seems too good to be true. What are its downsides?

Hi Laura,

There is none :) It truly is great and adapts to your natural lip colour. Mine is a pink to red shade, yours may be fusiha pink :)

The only 'problems' may be the price £22.50 if your on a budget and that it smells of mint for a min or two?
